Our Story
Tom Milne began as a Navy Photojournalist, capturing historic events from all over the world. These experiences broadened his perspective and honed his photography skills, resulting in a distinctive artistic expression all its own. After his time in the Navy, he served the Fresno Community as an officer for the Fresno Police Department. But retirement didn’t stop Tom. He took his love for photography to the next level by opening up Milne Photography, his own studio and gallery.
With the growth of Milne Photography came the need for custom frames to enhance Tom’s growing portraiture work. Unable to find professional framing services that met his high standards and expectations, Tom turned to his passion for woodworking.
The result was the launch of Milne Custom Framing. Providing a way to combine his art of photography, with the craftsmanship of custom framing.
But what started as custom frame design for his portraiture clients, soon became much more. Interior designers, artists, businesses, and collectors across the Central Valley started to call. They had seen and heard about the great work being done and needed help with custom framing services.
More than 20 years in, the project types have shifted, but the original commitment to excellence has not changed. Every project is an opportunity to extend quality framing and a great customer experience to lovers of art, collectibles, portraiture, and more.
